Portfolio.dev, a product of Alpha Portfolio Ventures LLC, a Delaware corporation ("Alpha Portfolio Ventures", "Company", "we", "us", and "our"), offers you access to Portfolio.dev, an online platform designed for developers, designers, and product managers to showcase their work, connect with potential employers, and grow their professional network (the "Website") (the "Service").

This Privacy Policy explains what Personal Information (defined below) we collect, how we use and share that information, and your choices when you visit our Website, create an account, and use Portfolio.dev to showcase your work or interact with other users, employers, and potential collaborators.

  • Social Links: Optional links to your professional profiles (GitHub, LinkedIn, etc.).

  • Project Information: Details about your projects, including titles, descriptions, and technologies used.
  • Images: Project images and profile pictures are stored securely in Firebase Storage.
  • Files: PDF and other project-related files, with a maximum limit of 5 files per project.
  • External Links: Links to your project demos, repositories, and other related content.

Internet Activity Information:

When you visit, use, and interact with the Service, we may receive certain information about your visit, use, or interactions. For example, we may monitor the number of people that visit the Service, peak hours of visits, which page(s) are visited, the domains our visitors come from (e.g., google.com, yahoo.com, etc.), and which browsers people use to access the Service (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc.), broad geographical information, and navigation pattern.

  • Images: Project images and profile pictures are stored securely in Firebase Storage.
  • Files: PDF and other project-related files, with a maximum limit of 5 files per project.
  • External Links: Links to your project demos, repositories, and other related content.

4. Analytics and Tracking

We track certain usage data to improve our service and provide analytics to users:

  • Profile Views: We track daily view counts of user profiles using anonymous visitor IDs.
  • Project Views: Individual project view statistics are collected to help you understand your portfolio's performance.
  • View Distribution: Analytics show how views are distributed across your projects.

To enhance your user experience, we use localStorage to store some data in your browser, including a unique visitor ID to help track your activity and personalize your experience on the platform. Currently, we do not use cookies for tracking purposes, but we may choose to implement cookies in the future for additional features such as tracking and personalization. If and when we begin using cookies, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly.

5. Sharing and Disclosure of Personal Information

Portfolio.dev does not sell your Personal Information. We may share the categories of Personal Information described above with the following categories of third parties:

Vendors and Service Providers:

To assist us in meeting business operations needs and to perform certain services and functions, we may share Personal Information with vendors and service providers, including providers of hosting services, cloud services, and other information technology services providers, email communication software and email newsletter services, advertising and marketing services, payment processors, customer relationship management and customer support services, professional advisors, and analytics services. Portfolio.dev does not knowingly collect or solicit Personal Information from anyone under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected Personal Information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.   • All your projects and associated files will be permanently deleted
  • Your profile information will be removed from our systems
